Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two.
I lead Google’s brand efforts to support startups around the world. For example, I managed Google's presence at the White House Global Entrepreneurship summit, including a live video conversation between President Barack Obama, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and entrepreneurs in Afghanistan, Mexico, U.K., and Korea.
I helped lead the creation of Google’s visual identity for a new brand, Google for Startups.
Google has dozens of products, programs, events, and resources for entrepreneurs. I led the development of a cohesive company-wide narrative and website strategy to bring the best of Google's resources for tech startups, all in one place.
National press attention gets your word out there to the masses. Local media can help the word get out to those that truly matter. My work has been featured in publications from New York Times to Kitchener's Channel 12 News.
Social isn't just a medium to speak to people that are important to you, it's a way for people to speak with you and on your behalf. When done right, it's integrated across your business. Keeping this in mind, I developed the Google for Entrepreneurs brand voice and content plans on YouTube, Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
